I knew very little about Charleston, except that I thought it was a charming town. He helped me find the perfect place for my price point. A few years later, I sold the condo on West Street and once again Brian was there to help me. Not only did he guide me through the process but I also bought another property with him on Ashley Avenue. Alas, I just sold that one too but the good news is that Brian was back in my life. He literally took care of everything since I was 300 miles away. You will be in the best of hands with Brian. Don't even think of calling anyone else. He is the best!

We met real estate agents in each city and they took us into a few homes. This was our first visit, and our goal was modest: to eliminate one or two of the cities from consideration. We would then look more closely at neighborhoods and homes on subsequent visits. Brian Walsh spent a day-and-a-half with us and showed us several appealing neighborhoods. We only went inside one home and here's the weird part - we bought it! Our day-and-a-half, plus our visits to the other two cities, sold us on Charleston and on the south-of-Broad neighborhood. Brian arranged for the builder to meet us, and he sold us on the house. What we expected would be a six-to-eight month process took less than a month from the day we drove into Charleston until we closed on the house. We had real estate contacts in the other two cities, but we chose Brian based solely on the recommendations (like this one) on Zillow. It was a fortuitous choice. Of the three agents, he was the best fit for our needs. He stood out because he asked pointed questions and he listened to our answers. He took the time to understand our background, our needs, and our goals. He did this while showing us real estate listings and neighborhoods. He helped us to focus on our own priorities and to use them to show us a house which met them better than we could have expected. He acted as a buyer's agent, and I never had the sense that he was selling us anything - we sold ourselves. He was the catalyst in the transaction, giving us the market information and perspective that we didn't have. Ours was a unique situation, and the home we bought was a singular opportunity. But, every home buyer's situation is unique - just in different ways - and all homes are singular in their own fashion. In our case, Brian was very skillful in bringing together the unique with the singular.

As we were from out of town, he took the time to explain to two strangers a lot of the nuances of the housing market in Charleston. Negotiating with the seller went quickly as he gave us good counsel as to where we should offer and we got the unit at a price point that we were very happy about.
